Peanut Butter Power Bars (Vegan/Gluten-Free)

As you may know, I am a total sweet tooth and whenever I see my family and friends, I usually want to bring some NBB goodies. This time, I was planning on working out with a friend. A part of me thought - maybe it's not a good idea to bring some "sweets" to a friend who's working out with me which came to the conclusion of making Peanut Butter Power Bars! What I really like about this recipe is that it only contains 4 ingredients: Rolled oats, unsweetened/unsalted peanut butter, honey, and vanilla extract.
The key to this recipe is to use "unsweetened/unsalted" peanut butter. If you look at commercialized peanut butters, they contain added sugar and salt. In general, peanuts are already high in calorie (good ones at least) so adding added sugar and salt is absolutely unnecessary. It's just extra empty calories. That's why our family use unsweetened/unsalted peanut butter! I especially like the ones at Trader Joe's and the Laura Scudder's - although I've been purchasing the Trader Joe's one for years!

Gluten-Free Chocolate Chip Cookie Bars (Dairy-Free)

I tried to step outside of my comfort zone and decided to bake gluten-free chocolate chip cookie bars! Here's to all of my family/friends who have celiac disease or have a specific gluten-.free lifestyle.

I thought it was so interesting that one of my friend asked me whether gluten-free is considered "healthy" - well, to answer that question, it really depends how the product is being made. There are many ways to make a positive lifestyle with gluten-free eating habits; however, there's certainly negative lifestyle that's associated with gluten-free eating habits - very similar to your ordinary lifestyle right? I'll explain more later in my post with some helpful information!

Gluten-free Soft Peanut Butter Chocolate Chip Cookies

Gluten-free series continues! As I mentioned previously, I have been trying to explore more options for NBB. I think this goes back to when I was in school but I made these gluten-free cookie dough bites using... chickpeas YES, I said it... chickpeas (aka garbanzo beans) but trust me - you won't even taste the beans (;

Gluten-Free Moist Chocolate Cake Squares with Chocolate Peanut Butter Glaze

Did you scream with joy when you saw the word "Gluten-free"? Well, if you have celiac disease, it should be exciting for you because many of the delicious sweets all contain gluten. Although there has been an ongoing gluten-free fad going on, those are very selective.
Let me tell you something about my opinion about Gluten-Free products. Gluten are referred as proteins that are found in wheat. It is often found in our common breads, barley, and rye. Gluten is actually good for you because it's a form of protein that is good for your body. The reason why many people are pointing gluten as the "enemy" is because they feel "fatigued" or it promotes "weight-gain" but that's only because you are over-consuming gluten. In fact, this is not just about gluten - if you overeat anything, you will gain weight. The only people should not eat gluten is those who have celiac disease, which means that you are allergic to gluten which causes intestinal damage. Click here for more information about celiac disease.

Like many of my friends, I am obsessed with Buzzfeed.. especially their Food section. My coworker showed me a link to this and I came across one recipe that I really wanted to try. It was Top With Cinnamon's Healthy Sticky Chocolate Fudge Cake. Since I did not have all of the ingredients in this recipe, I decided to modify it a little and they still turned out absolutely amazing!
